The Ketogenic diet is almost 100 years old, it was use as a treatment for the epileptic patients in the 1920 and 1930s. It also helps you lose body-fat, bad cholesterol and preservers your lean body mass. Eating more fats and protein and less carb leads our internal biochemical pathways to switch to using our stored fat for fuel. This is called being in nutritional ketosis. Before you decide on the ketogenic diet you should check with your physician if you don’t have kidney and heart problems. Ketogenic diets are very powerful. Keto is a very low-carbohydrates, high-fat, adequate protein diet.

The main difference between a regular low carb diet plan and a ketogenic diet plan is the amount of carbohydrate and protein allowed to consume per day. Just after a few days of the diet we feel light. But then the changes in our body cause that we feel sleepy. Constipation could appear. We lose appetite, because the ketosis metabolism works in a way to suppress it. It also naturally leads to a calorie deficit.
